Ecologist - Ipswich

We are looking for an Ecologist to join a medium sized multi-disciplinary company in Ipswich. They have 4 other offices around the UK. They work on a range of projects in sectors including residential, commercial, education and conservation.

You will be supported by a strong team of Ecologists, enabling you to gain valuable training and obtain protected species licences. The company offer paid CIEEM memberships, a generous holiday allowance, charity social events throughout the year, paid overtime or TOIL, retail discounts and paid CIEEM memberships.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct ecological surveys and assessments.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports for environmental impact assessments.
  • Develop and implement strategies for habitat restoration and conservation.
  • Provide expert advice on biodiversity conservation and environmental management.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Strong fieldwork skills and experience with ecological survey techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
  • Ideally Level 3 FISC qualified.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
