Small Main Contractor which specialises in housing is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Project values range between 1.5m-12m for housing associations and private developers.

You will be expected to be able to discharge all responsibilities of a project quantity surveyor on 2no. schemes at once (some small overlap into a 3rd may be required at times). The successful candidate will work closely with the scheme construction Manager and site team and take full ownership of as a team of all aspects of each project. Responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Attend client meetings, providing and receiving feedback on progress, specification, and programme deliverables.
  • Manage daily company commercial operations in respect of assigned projects.
  • Manage the direct commercial relationship with key clients. Ensuring all commercial procedures are maintained by sharing best practice and continual improvement to protect the company's commercial position.
  • Plan and manage the commercial input to tenders for various schemes / projects ensuring they are compliant, that they reflect the client s requirements and they are as competitive as possible.
  • Work as an integral member of the project team.
  • Formulation and implementation of interventions to deliver sustained performance in terms of securing tenders and new business opportunities
  • In conjunction with the Operational team issue any contractual notices as required
  • Issue payment notices to the supply chain within the terms of the agreement.
  • Adhering to the Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Financial regulations, and any company instructions that may be in force.
