LogicalPS are one of the Uk s leading labour providers to the construction and power sectors. We are currently looking for an experienced HSE advisor with exceptionally strong communication and organisational skills for a role at Sizewell B Power Station, LEISTON. The role will primarily be based on Sizewell but will also be covering Dungeness Power Station in Kent several days a month (all travel and expenses are paid for).

Our client is a global leader in providing technical and facilities management services to the construction and energy markets (600m + turnover) and has an enviable order book due to securing numerous large contracts throughout the South. The role will be based in Sizewell but will involve some travel to other sites in Kent and potentially Somerset.

We are looking for candidates who have a hands on approach to health and safety - with a huge focus on engagement with staff and empowering staff.

Package:

  • £48,000 - £60,000 PA
  • £(Apply online only) car allowance PA

Duties

  • Working with the SHEQ Manager to deliver a comprehensive Safety and Health advisory and guidance service to Project Managers and their teams to ensure all aspects of best practice safe working environment are established and maintained.
  • Support the company's pre-qualification process across Health, Safety, Environment and Quality components of bids.
  • Monitor Project site compliance and procedures against site policies and propose solutions.
  • Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements and POWRA
  • Carry out HSEQ audits and inspections as directed by the SHEQ Manager
  • Regularly perform site/job /on the job inspections and walkarounds - engaging with the workforce
  • Provide expert resource for investigations into incidents and near misses, illnesses, and injuries in order to establish root causes and so make recommendations for changes and improvements to prevent reoccurrences and promite continuous improvement
  • Work on a range of HSE improvement projects and initiatives
  • Support development of Subcontractor and suppliers approach to HSE performance and compliance

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of NEBOSH
  • Appropriate competent experience to work as a Health and Safety Advisor - 3 year +

Because of the nature of the role, we are looking for a individual with a strong ability to work onsite - and confident at communicating face to face to the workforce.

We sre looking for a confident candidate - who is able to influence, coach and drive impact through effective working relationships onsite.
