Motorists trying to get to and from Felixstowe to the Shotley peninsula or Woodbridge are facing huge delays.

The A14 is currently closed west bound, between Trimley (J59) and Seven Hills (J58) due to a car fire and fuel or oil spillage.

Emergency services are on scene.

Traffic is currently being diverted from Trimley to Seven Hills junction via Felixstowe Rd (the old A47).

Suffolk fire crews from Felixstowe and Ipswich East, were mobilised just before 4pm on Sunday, August 28 and stood down almost an hour later.
