New look Brantham ready for home opener against Woodbridge Town tonight

It has been all change off the pitch at Brantham Athletic, and now a new look Imps side are looking to make up for a season opener with victory over Woodbridge Town in their first home game of the season tonight.
While manager Pip Boyland was abroad at the weekend Steff Mallardo and Duncan Lawson took charge of the new look senior squad for there 2-0 loss at Dereham Town on Saturday.
Despite wholesale changes, skipper James Lee was there to lead the line, George Tuck and Aiden McPhail in midfield, while the versatile Tom Lawson tucked in at right back, while there were new faces throughout.
The playing side reflected changes off the pitch too, with Roger Peck taking over as chairman from the long serving Peter Crowhurst, and Carole Peck is now treasurer.
Dan Hart has stepped up to become the Under 23s manager, and they have made a good impression in pre-season. (full story here)
Meanwhile Ipswich Town star Harry Clarke, a Brantham boy through and through and former Imps youth teamer, has been signed up as club ambassador.
The versatile ex-Arsenal player who had loan spells at Stoke City, Hibernian, Ross County and Oldham Athletic has vowed to be at Brantham as often as possible, maybe with brother George, who also plays non-league locally, especially to watch the youth sides.
The Imps will be looking for a victory for their fans, and new chairman at the Brantham Leisure Centre ground tonight, kick off 7.45pm. Food is available and the bar is open.
