Pip Boyland's Brantham came out on the wrong end of a thrilling seven goal second half as they went down 4-3 to Lakenheath.
It was a tough first defeat to take for the battling Imps in a gruelling four games in eight days.
Although skipper James Lee netted twice, after Jose Santa De La Cruz opening the scoring, Lakenheath's fliers shot them down with four of their own.
After struggling to score earlier in the season, Brantham have banged in 13 in five games, with just this loss in that run.
Brantham's gruelling schedule continues this week, starting with a trip to Whitton United tomorrow (Monday) then Norwich United on Wednesday before going to Mildenhall on Saturday, then Fakenham the following Tuesday.
The Imps will be back at the Brantham Leisure Centre when Thetford visit on Saturday April 22.
