Staff at Spring Lodge care home, in Woolverston, are delighted to have received a certificate from the Lord Lieutenant for Suffolk praising their "selflessness" and "sense of duty" during the pandemic.
In an accompanying letter to home manager Jose Simoes, the Lord Lieutenant, Clare, Countess of Euston, writes: "I would like to thank you for the contribution you have made during the extraordinary and difficult circumstances of the Covid 19 crisis."

A call to support our takeaways on the peninsula has been made following a move by another chip van to operate in Shotley.
The mobile fish and chip van, which is part of a franchise operation based in Colchester, has announced it plans to start a weekly visit to the Shotley peninsula, and has advertised its first visit to a housing estate, which is already well served by food outlets.

Babergh council has suspended garden waste collections during the third Covid-19 lockdown so that crews can prioritise black bin, recycling and medical waste.
A number of crew members have called in sick, meaning a reshuffle of resources has been necessitated.
The Kings Head in Stutton has updated its takeaway menu after closing due to lockdown.
Landlady Elaine Tague confirmed specials will be on the menu weekly and the pub will offer takeaways between 5pm and 8pm on Wednesday to Saturday

Babergh District Council's' 'Independent Living Service' has been developed to help improve the quality of life of the districts' most vulnerable adults, young people and children.
The new service will offer advice and support where home adaptations, big or small, are needed to help residents live independently, safely and comfortably in their own homes, for as long as possible.

Tributes are today being paid to former Royal Navy captain and marine engineer John Bowen who has died after contracting coronavirus in hospital.
An avid supporter of the Shotley pier project and highly respected designer, Mr Bowen was a much loved character in Chelmondiston and the Dutch barge sailing fraternity.
