A project aimed at getting more people on the peninsula fitter has launched a survey to find out which activities they would prefer to engage in.

Run by Active Suffolk as part of its health and wellbeing initiatives, and working closely with Holbrook and Shotley surgeries. Fit Villages project is aimed at enabling people to become more active and villagers will be asked what sort of exercises and activities they would prefer to take part in, within village facilities.

Councillors have agreed Babergh District Council's budget for 2021/22 – delivering financial stability post-Covid while still delivering the council's commitment to climate change.

The budget agreed at last night's Full Council increases Babergh's share of council tax by 2.96%, the equivalent of less than 10p a week (£5 a year) for an average Band D property.
