The Green Party has replicated increased success nationwide by winning more seats on Suffolk County Council, including the Peninsula Division.
The Greens took an unprecedented nine seats, although the Conservatives still hold power by a large majority by increasing their seats by five to 55.

While much of the British public has mustered the confidence to book, or at least consider booking, a staycation in the UK, one Suffolk cancer patient is planning to set off from the Shotley peninsula in his bid to circumnavigate Great Britain by boat to raise much-needed cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Olle Nash, 63, will weigh anchor on 22nd May at Fox's Marina to make the trip of a lifetime around England, Wales and Scotland, despite being on active chemotherapy treatment for bowel cancer and permanently dependent on a colostomy, which his family have named Boris.

A peninsula farmer has warned he will shoot any dog he finds worrying his sheep.
Phil Colwill issued the stark message after many of his 36 pregnant ewes were left distressed by a dog, which had been let of its lead and chased sheep in a Shotley meadow.

After much excitement and intrigue St Elizabeth Hospice has revealed the Big Hoot Ipswich 2022 will be the latest art trail to be held in the town in partnership with creative producers, Wild in Art.
The identity of the owl sculptures, which will make up the Big Hoot Ipswich 2022, were revealed virtually on Thursday 6th May across St Elizabeth Hospice's social media platforms.
