Hundreds of people across two Suffolk districts have been sharing areas of the county in need of walking and cycle path improvements — and more views are still being sought.

Babergh has launched a public consultation on a joint walking and cycling strategy, with mid-Suffolk, which aims to establish where the popular spots are for walking and cycling, and find out which walkways need improving.

Diners on the Allen Gardiner had to be rescued by fire crews and the Coatdguard after the vessel broke down ran aground on the Shotley peninsula, last night

Emergency services from Holbrook and as far as Lowestoft, were called to help the river restaurant when it became stuck solid on the side of the River Orwell, just before 7pm Sunday evening.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has recognised the Shotley and Erwarton Good Neighbours for its outstanding contribution to our community during the pandemic.

The group, which offers huge range of support to residents including shopping deliveries, prescription collection and lifts to GP and hospital appointments, was nominated through Community Action Suffolk.
