Wednesday's Peninsula Breakfast Briefing
By Derek Davis
25th Nov 2020 | Local News
Did you know?
Today is White Ribbon Day, which promotes the awareness of domestic violence, and in particularly abuse against women and girls. This is the Shadow Pandemic growing amidst the COVID-19 crisis and we need a global collective effort to stop it. As COVID-19 cases continue to strain health services, essential services, such as domestic violence shelters and helplines, have reached capacity. Although this day focuses on violence against women and girls, violence against men is also an issue and help can be found. Gift of HopeToday's Peninsula sunrise: 07.32

Wednesday's quote
The more that we choose not to talk about domestic violence, the more we shy away from the issue, the more we lose.
