Better news as Shotley peninsula's latest Covid-19 related death figures revealed on interactive map

25th Jul 2020 | Local News

Latest official figures have shown no one from the Shotley peninsula died as a result of Covid-19 related reasons during June.

This follows one death recorded in May, nine in April and one in March. Neighbouring Brantham, along with East Bergholt and Capel, has not seen any recorded deaths since April, when all seven of its victims died during that dark month.

Across the rivers, a total of 22 people have died in the combined area including Felixstowe East, Felixstowe Seafront, Felixstowe West and Trimly & Kirton, with half of those recorded in April.

Harwich recorded 20 deaths in their three wards, which includes Harwich, Harwich West & South, and Parkeston.

Coronavirus (Covid-19) has spread across the vast majority of neighbourhoods in England and Wales.

The interactive map allows you to see the number of deaths occurring in the period March to May 2020, where COVID-19 was mentioned as a cause on the death certificate.

The map will next be updated in early September to include deaths occurring in July 2020.

Enter your postcode or interact with the map to see the number of deaths in an area. The size of the circle represents the number of deaths.
