Wednesday's Peninsula Breakfast Briefing

By Derek Davis

9th Sep 2020 | Local News

Did you know?

Today celebrates Back British Farming Day to celebrate the UK's farming industry.

It focuses on supporting locally produced food and the farming sector by encouraging consumers to pick up homegrown produce from the Shotley peninsula, or further afield in Suffolk.

The NFU will also use the 2020 event to remind politicians that British food and farming contributes more than £120 billion to the UK economy each year and employs four million people. It is also encouraging farmers to share their pictures, videos and personal experiences online using the hashtag #BackBritishFarming and you can lobby your MP [email protected]
